INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION

With Boeing Company

TUPOLEV, Boeing Company and group of American aerospace companies started Joint work in 1994 under Intergovernmental Contract. The Contract envisaged joint investigations of supersonic flight parameters of heavy aircraft aiming at building in future supersonic passenger aircraft of the second generation.

Within said Project TU-144 a/c was modified to flying laboratory. The aircraft was provided with equipment to investigate parameters of supersonic flight. A number of test flights were performed during which the works were carried out on following:

- temperature measurement on a/c structure surface;

- study of ground effect on small aspect ratio wing;

- cabin noise level measuring;

- evaluation of aircraft piloting characteristics.

With Rolls-Royce Company

“Tupolev” PSC has considered Rolls-Royce proposals on co-operation. TU-204-120 a/c being under manufacturing at Ulianovsk “Aviastar-SP” plant is equipped by RB211-535E4 engines.

To extend TU-334 a/c sales market Memorandum of Understanding was signed regarding possibility of equipping the a/c by BR-715 engines.

With Sirocco Aerospace

The Egyptian Company has been worked in co-operation with “Tupolev” PSC and Ulianovsk aircraft “Aviastar-SP” plant for several years having arranged manufacturing of TU-204-120 a/c equipped by Rolls-Royce engines.

Under Investment Agreement that has been recently signed Sirocco Aerospace has the intention to become one of main investors into Russian Aircraft Industry.

For the time being the Egyptian Company along with Russian enterprises is performing TU-204—120 a/c certification to JAA Airworthiness requirements.

With Pratt&Whittney

Pratt&Whitney is a main partner of Perm Engine plant. They are currently busy with improvement of PS-90 jet engine regarding adaptation of power plant with TU-204, TU-214 a/c.

Pratt&Whitney Canada Company has proposed PW800 which is developed by this Company in co-operation with MTV and Fiat Companies for installation on regional TU-324 a/c being currently under development.
